Our customer wanted to implement a comprehensive crew management system which could integrate well with existing Oracle applications and enhance their performance tracking mechanism by giving them detailed analysis on various parameters like cost of hiring ,cost of training,cost per vessel etc.

Solution Proposed and Implemented

Our solution QlikView helped them to do the desired analysis on various parameters which was not being done earlier with the existing system. They had 2 different data sources -oracle financials and CMS system and implementation of QlikView helped them to extract data from both and perform analysis to know about critical issues like batch wise attrition rate,batchwise hiring cost etc.

It started operations in 2001 and within a few years, it has grown its capability to support the full series of Trent Family engines globally. Our customer is among the pioneers in Aero engineering servicing and has implemented an assembly line for service maintenance work. They wanted a detailed performance analysis of their assembly line, reports on their resource utilization and a enhanced reporting tool which could extract data from their ERP system (SAP R/3) for detailed analysis on process flow management.

Solution Proposed and Implemented

We implemented QlikView, which provides the customer with a enhanced reporting tool to analyze resource utilization, bottlenecks in the assembly line, time taken to perform a task by a single resource etc. This enabled the company to increase its operational efficiency and control its costs.

Company Overview

Our customer is in the business of ship management, crew management and new building consultancy services to third parties worldwide since 1974. They have a pool of over 7,500 professional crewmembers and over 500 full-time qualified shore-based staff positioned globally to assist owners with their needs. The group looks after a varied fleet and crew base trading and operating worldwide.

Business Need

The company wanted to implement document management and workflow system to automate key business processes which would ensure automatic archival and retrieval of documents. Their major pain area was handling vast no. of documents and reports generated on a regular basis like noon report, near miss report, exception handling report, sea worthiness certificate etc.

Tracking, managing and archiving of these documents was both tedious and required vast storage space.

Solution Proposed and Implemented

We implemented document management solution which integrated and automated their critical business process. After implementation, the documentation process became streamlined and the archival, retrieval and storage of paper documents became electronic as against the previous manual entry method.

Our customer is one of the largest company in petroleum logistics. Their fleet transports crude oil across the globe and performs specialist lightering operations in the US Gulf and Asia . It operates a young and technologically advanced fleet of tankers to move crude oil and clean products for the world's oil majors and traders.It has operational headquarters in London and regional centres in Singapore , Houston and Kuala Lumpur .

Business Need

Our customers major pain area was the handling of numerous ship specific documents like-"Finish Plan" ,ship drawings, manuals etc. which was required to be carried physically by person in charged during dry docking. This was a hurdle as there was a limitation to the no. of documents one could carry physically. They wanted to implement a system wherein all the documents could be digitized, scanned and stored centrally for easy search and retrieval

Solution Proposed and Implemented

We implemented document management system for our customer and did scanning and digitizing of all the documents which greatly helped in streamlining the existing workflow. Once scanned and digitized, the documents got indexed properly and it became very easy to manage and greatly reduced the physical storage space needed to store these documents.
